shape the future of technology and production. Purpose As a
Materials & Process engineer, you will help accelerate the adoption
and qualification of new manufacturing processes through first
principles materials engineering and robust qualification testing.
The Role Define and execute material qualification test plans and
generate corresponding material allowables for design. Write and
maintain engineering specifications for materials, processes, and
testing. Support material related quality monitoring tools and
perform root cause investigations for production processes. Perform
process development and qualification for onboarding of new
manufacturing processes. Participate in integrated product teams on
development and delivery of new products. Engage in component
design process to provide solutions to customer material
requirements including delivering component specific testing. Basic
Qualifications Ability to lawfully access information and
technology that is subject to US export controls. Graduating in Dec
2025 or Spring 2026 with a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science,
Materials Engineering, or a related field. Exposure in one of the
following: additive manufacturing, adhesives, coatings, metallurgy,
welding, or forgings/castings through coursework, internships, or
projects. Preferred Qualifications Minimum GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Master's degree or doctorate in materials science or engineering,
or related field. Understanding of mechanical behavior or materials
including fatigue and fracture. Familiarity of aerospace and
defense requirements including industry standards such as AMS,
ASTM, and MIL specifications. Familiarity with laboratory material
tests such as metallographic evaluation, powder characterization,
thermoanalytical testing, tensile testing, etc. Work Environment
This role is on-site at our Torrance, CA headquarters. Pay Range
