- Competitive Wages Summary: Under limited supervision, the
position manages various marketing strategies, projects and
activities with the objective of achieving BakeMark's sales &
marketing goals. Thorough planning, execution and evaluation of
strategies, objectives, projects and tasks is essential. Must
demonstrate drive for results, strong analytical thinking,
creativity, multi-tasking proficiency, self-motivation, good
business acumen and attention to detail. Core areas of
responsibility include category management, brand management,
project management, marketing communications, sales and product
training support, sales support and vendor management. Leads
collaboration with Sales, Technical Services, R&D, Procurement
and other related departments and functions, as well as outside
agencies, to ensure marketing projects are managed and executed in
a disciplined manner, and all parties remain aligned and
well-informed towards the established goals. Upholds and complies
with policies and attitudes adopted by BakeMark, following the
guiding principles of best practices, as both a process and a
cultural guide. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Adhere to
all company policies, procedures and safety rules as stated in the
Employee Handbook and otherwise posted or communicated. Exemplify
the BakeMark Ways of Working in all aspects of assigned
responsibilities and duties, and other duties as assigned.
- Develops and leads strategic planning for assigned brands and
categories. Act as category lead in cross-functional environment,
managing strategy development, defining goals and objectives, as
well as milestones, key actions and timelines in the development of
the strategic plans. Collaborates with functional leaders to ensure
alignment and support through the development process.
- Define growth opportunities by obtaining and analyzing market
research, category insights, competitive intelligence and sales
data. Responsible for quantifying sales growth potential and
understanding the needs and opportunities of the target
market.
- Prioritize and support the execution and ongoing development of
the strategic plans, working with Sales and Supply Chain, while
actively tracking and reporting to adapt and optimize plans.
Responsible for monthly reporting to the Sales leadership team, as
well as the Leadership Team.
- Leads the Marketing team in sourcing and managing market
research, category data and consumer insights. Works directly with
outside partners to maintain optimal data set, while working with
the Sales, Marketing, Technical Sales and R&D teams to leverage
research, data and insights across all categories.
- Initiates and manages projects according to BakeMark's product
development and co-manufacturing processes, while also responsible
for direct communications with Sales, R&D, Procurement and
vendor partners to ensure projects are managed and completed
successfully.
- Manages the development of the appropriate sales and marketing
support resources and materials to drive growth within the assigned
categories and brands, including marketing collateral development,
merchandising support, advertising (print and digital), trade
communications (publications), event marketing, sales
presentations, market research and product knowledge resources and
tools. Works directly with vendor partners to create and manage
resources and materials, including the distribution to Sales and
customers.
- Follows BakeMark's best practices in Marketing and BakeMark's
Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety rules, as well as
takes responsibility for house-keeping and sanitation duties for
work area and as assigned.Supervision:This position does not have
direct reports but may be required to supervise others in a project
and/or team leader role. Qualifications: To perform this job
successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential
duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are

Employee must have a valid California Driver's License and have his
or her own method of transportation. Reasonable accommodations may

essential functions. Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree
(BA or BS) in Business Administration and/or Marketing Management
from four-year college or university is required. Must have at
least 4 years of experience of marketing management, with brand
and/or category management focus. Experience in the baking industry
and/or a related industry (grocery, foodservice, food/ingredients
manufacturing, food/ingredients distribution) is preferred.Computer
Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel,
PowerPoint and with general knowledge of online search/research
practices. Must also have adequate working knowledge and/or
experience with sales data reporting software, accounting software
and order entry software. Microsoft Access, Adobe Acrobat
Professional, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign
skills is preferred.Work Environment: Must be able to work
comfortably in an office setting. Ability to travel domestically
and internationally is required, as needed (potentially up to 10%).

occasionally exposed to cold, hot, wet, dry and/or humid conditions
