QUALIFICATIONS This position requires a pro-active, problem solving individual who is able to manage a varied workloadwith constantly changing priorities. The individual must be detail oriented, accurate, well organized andable to work effectively under pressure. They must have excellent listening, verbal and writtencommunication skills. They must have excellent interpersonal. They must be able to meet expectations ofthe position with minimal guidance or supervision.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEPosition requires Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred from an accredited US basedinstitution. A minimum of three years supervisory experience is required. Strong understanding ofAccounts Payable processes and ERP utilization. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft office is required.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read, comprehend and interpret written instructions and procedures, business correspondence,reports and schedules.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to apply concepts, such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations,using a ten-key, calculator and computer.REASONING ABILITYRequires the ability to independently define problems, collect data, establish facts and solve practicalproblems.Must be able to apply common sense when problem solving. Must be able to apply routine protocols aswell as identify when the routines do not apply in a specific situation. Includes, Customer Vendor Relations, and the AP disbursement group which handles allcheck disbursements, 1099 and tax related matters.Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payablefunctions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information related to AccountsPayable; ensures accuracy of financial statements.SUMMARYUnder limited supervision, and using independent judgement, apply principles of accounting to maintainfinancial data related to Accounts Payable and general accounting. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manages AP. Includes, Customer Vendor Relations, and the AP disbursement group which handles allcheck disbursements, 1099 and tax related matters.Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payablefunctions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.Manages monthly closing of financial records and posting of month end information related to AccountsPayable; ensures accuracy of financial statements.Selects and hires employees for the groups mentioned above.Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addressesperformance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions.Motivates and rewards employees including providing salary increases, bonuses and promotions withinallocated budgets and company guidelines.Lead a team of 5 of AP staff (1 AP Supervisor and 4 AP Associates).Resolve conflicts vendors and ad hoc issues as necessary.Generate timely standard reports such as agings, vendor listings, analytical reports, etc.Act as liaison for communications between Accounts Payable and other departments and our vendors toprovide timely payment data.Provide outside auditors with requested information related to Accounts Payable and customer accountbalances.Assist with special projects and cross train in other areas of the department.Perform other task as directed by the Director of Accounting or Senior Management.Treats all customers (internal and external) with respect, courtesy and kindness.Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety rules as stated in the Employee Handbook andotherwise posted or communicated.Exemplify the Company core values of Partnership, Performance and Passion in all aspects of assignedduties.Other duties as assigned to reach Company goals. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises AP personnel. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these staff in a manner that creates harmony within the workforce, and promoting an attitude that will ensure successful results. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing and hiring; planning, assigning and directing work appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems Ensures that personnel maintain knowledge and skills level necessary to accomplish Company objectives. Develop departmental leaders for succession to higher levels or responsibility.Job Type: Full-timePay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per yearSchedule: 8 hour shift Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate: Pico Rivera, CA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience: ERP systems: 3 years (Required)Work Location: One location
