What you will do:
The Quality Control Manager will ensure the highest standards of quality for all Feit Electric products. This leadership position will focus on supplier management and includes significant international travel. A proactive approach to identify opportunities and implement continuous improvement is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage Supplier Quality and Relationships:

  • Lead our global team of Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) and Inspection personnel to enhance their effectiveness, ensure adherence to our quality standards, and continuously provide training and support.
  • Maintain positive and constructive relationships with suppliers, providing feedback and guidance on their quality performance.
  • Ensure that all departmental metrics and KPIs are met, and hold the Asia Quality team accountable for meeting these standards.
  • Conduct detailed product inspections and audits, enforce compliance with internal and external quality standards.
  • Analyze available data to identify areas of improvement in our Quality System. Identify opportunities to improve our suppler performance while reducing inspection (based on risk and quality performance and partnership-oriented relationships with our suppliers).
  • Drive all corrective actions to a successful conclusion and assist with factory SOPs.
  • Support Customer on-boarding, pre-production testing, audits, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain personnel on factory audits and capability reviews.

    Empower New Product Release into Manufacturing:
    • Report on all factory Pilot Runs. Work closely with our Product Management Team to ensure all open issues are reported and resolved before Mass Production is initiated.
    • Carefully review and verify all new product attributes prior to first shipment.
    • Ensure that all customer samples of new products are properly vetted before being sent to the customer.
    • Evaluate and report on New Product detail as requested.
      Review and Respond to Customer Feedback:
      • Review all sources of Customer Feedback for improvement opportunities.
      • Assist with quality inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
        What you'll need:
        • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management or related field.
        • At least 5 years of experience in quality control, preferably within the consumer electronics or LED lighting industry, with a proven track record of leading and managing a quality control team.
        • In-depth knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools, including ISO 9001, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing.
        • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the capability to effectively interact with suppliers, cross-functional teams, and senior management.
        • Proficiency in using software and data analytics, with strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite and task management software.
        • Fluency in Mandarin is required to manage our quality team effectively and communicate with suppliers in Asia.
        • Willingness to travel internationally as needed.

            Pay Range: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 (salary/exempt) depending on experience.
            Additional Data: Position is onsite Monday through Friday in our Pico Rivera, CA office when not traveling. Position does not offer relocation package. No remote work available for this position.
