Job Description:
As a Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO), you will be
at the front lines of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection's
mission to secure the nation's borders. The role involves enforcing
customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations at U.S.
ports of entry. CBPOs are crucial in preventing illegal entry of
individuals and contraband into the United States, while
facilitating lawful international travel and trade. This position
requires vigilance, resilience, and a strong commitment to national
security and public service. Inspect cargo, baggage, and articles
entering or leaving the U.S. to enforce regulations and prevent
smuggling of drugs, weapons, and other contraband. Check travelers'
documents to ensure compliance with U.S. immigration and customs
regulations. Detain and process individuals suspected of violating
immigration and customs laws. Utilize various technologies to scan
and inspect vehicles and cargo entering the country. Collaborate
with other law enforcement agencies to coordinate operations and
enhance security. Prepare detailed and accurate reports on
inspections and incidents as required. Proficiency in using law
enforcement databases and tools Strong analytical and
decision-making skills Effective interpersonal and communication
skills Ability to handle stressful and potentially dangerous
situations calmly and efficiently Knowledge of laws, regulations,
and practices related to customs and immigration Medical Insurance

a comprehensive training program at the CBP Academy is required.
Additional certifications in areas such as firearms handling,
defensive tactics, and first responder may be advantageous.
